Ralph Radford

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have always enjoyed taking photographs of people, places and events. Capturing photos has always felt natural for me, I do not go anywhere without my camera.

During my career, I have been given the opportunity to work with the United States Navy as a military photographer which took me all over the world covering many events on military operations. I have also gotten to work as a photojournalist for various newspapers, the many assignments I shot have taught me how to to capture spontaneous reactions and natural reflections. These type of emotions are always the best when it comes to weddings, portraits or that special event you had planned for years.

My work as a park ranger in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, has made protecting our resources, keeping a clean environment to hike and take photos in, very important to me. Also being a volunteer firefighter, I was assigned as the photographer and video camera person for our unit. During my time there, I produced training videos and covered the daily life at the fire station. I believe in volunteer work ass well as giving back in my community. Currently, I volunteer with the American Red Cross.

After many years based in Seattle, I chose to move to Alaska for 10 years so I can enjoy capturing the unique beauty it has to offer. The stunning mountains and plethora of wildlife, is a delightful place as a photographic paradise. I have also had the pleasure to photograph some unique weddings, some at rustic cabins, others on top of a glacier. What better place to get married then in Alaska, or the North Cascades in Washington State.

With my wide-range of photography experience, I promise to work with you to get special moments caught on film, even if it means crossing that river, or climbing that mountain. Alaska is a beautiful place to have as a backdrop. May it be your wedding, senior portraits, family photos, commercial photos, or even shots of your beloved pet, let me capture the spontaneous moment for you to have frozen for a lifetime.

I believe in value to the customer. I always will work hard to produce the highest, high quality images at any event. I don't have a problem with my clients going through the images in the camera as we are shooting, marking the photos that they want and spending extra time if you are looking for a creative pose. Customer satisfaction through great photos is always my first concern.
